Florence Hasseltine Atwater (née Carroll; Sept 13, 1896 – August 23, 1979) was born in City, the last child of Normal Josephine ("Minnie") Delany, a erstwhile concert pianist with the Metropolis Conservatory, and James Carroll, cool Philadelphia publisher. Richard Tupper Atwater (December 29, 1892 – August 21, 1948) was a Chicago writer be first classics professor at the Foundation of Chicago.
